Zokson 2 – antihypertensive. Anti-adrenergic means with the peripheral mechanism of action. Blockers of α-adrenoceptors.

Indications

Treatment of arterial hypertension. Most of patients can use medicament for control of the ABP as monotherapy. In case it is not possible to reach due control of the ABP at use of medicament as monotherapy, this medicament can be used in a combination with such antihypertensive medicaments – thiazide diuretics, blockers of β-adrenoceptors, blockers of calcium channels or inhibitors angiotensin-converting.

Benign hyperplasia of a prostate. Treatment of obstruction of urinary tract and also the symptoms connected with the benign hyperplasia of a prostate (BHP). To appoint to patients with DGPZh both in the presence of arterial hypertension, and at the AD normal level.

Structure

• active ingredient: docsazozin;
• 1 tablet contains docsazozin mezilat 2.43 mg that is equivalent to 2 mg docsazozin respectively;
• other components: lactose anhydrous, cellulose microcrystalline, the cellulose microcrystalline granulated of sodium krakhmalglikolit (type A), silicon dioxide colloidal anhydrous, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate.

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to active ingredient or to quinazoline derivatives;
• cases of orthostatic hypotension in the anamnesis;
• DGPZh and the accompanying obstruction of upper urinary tract, persistent infections of urinary tract and existence of stones in a bladder;
• arterial hypotension at patients with DGPZh.

Docsazozin as monotherapy is contraindicated to patients with overflow of a bladder or an anury with the progressing renal failure or without it.

Side reactions

To take the medicament 1 time a day: the initial dose makes 1 mg (1/2 tablets Zoksona 2) within 1-2 weeks to minimize risk of developing orthostatic arterial hypotension and/or a syncope. After 1-2 weeks the dose can be raised to 2 mg (1 tablet Zoksona 2) a day if it is necessary. At insufficient efficiency the daily dose can be increased gradually taking into account individual reaction of the patient to the treatment estimated depending on achievement of the AD desirable level.

In most cases to apply a dose of 2-4 mg/days (1 tablet Zokson 2 or 1 tablet Zokson 4) which to accept 1 time a day. If it is necessary, the dose can be raised to 8 mg or to the maximum recommended dose – 16 mg.

Overdose

Main symptom of overdose of a docsazozin is arterial hypotension. The patient should be laid immediately on a back, having hung the head down. Treatment is symptomatic, directed to stabilization of indicators of a hemodynamics and the vital functions of an organism. If symptomatic measures are not enough, first of all it is necessary to apply plasma substitutes to treatment. After that if necessary it is necessary to apply vasoconstrictors. It is necessary to observe a condition of function of kidneys and if necessary to take the supporting measures. Considering high extent of linking of a docsazozin with proteins of blood plasma, the hemodialysis is not shown.
