Zoks is an antibacterial agent for system application.

Indications

Infection caused by microorganisms, sensitive to azithromycin:

• an upper respiratory tract infection, adnexal bosoms of a nose and middle ear (bacterial pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, average otitis);
• a lower respiratory tract infection (bacterial bronchitis, not hospital pneumonia);
• an infection of leather and soft tissues (the migrating erythema (I stage of a disease of Lyme), a mug, impetigo and a secondary pyoderma);
• an infection, sexually transmitted (the uncomplicated genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis).

Structure

• 1 tablet contains an azithromycin dihydrate in transfer to azithromycin of 500 mg;
• other components: calcium hydrophosphate waterless, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium of a kroskarmeloz, starch prezhelatinizirovanny, magnesium stearate, film cover of Opadry White (gipromeloza, titan dioxide (E 171)).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, group antibiotics makrolidov / ketoleads or to any of medicine excipients.

Route of administration

Course dose usually makes 1500 mg and is appointed for reception on 500 mg/days within 3 days. Purpose of a course dose for 5 days can be the alternative scheme: 500 mg in the 1st day and on 250 mg – from the 2nd to the 5th day of treatment.

in case of treatment of the uncomplicated urethritis or a cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis should be accepted once in a dose of 1000 mg.

Feature of application

As well as in a case with erythromycin and other makrolidny antibiotics, it was reported about rare serious allergic reactions, including a Quincke's disease and an anaphylaxis (in rare instances - with a lethal outcome), dermatological reactions, including sharp generalized exanthematous pustulez. Some of these reactions caused by azithromycin caused recurrent symptoms and needed longer observation and treatment.

Pregnant

during pregnancy only according to vital indications.

Children

Drug do not use to children with body weight less than 45 kg.

Drivers

Proof that azithromycin can worsen ability to steer motor transport or work with other mechanisms are absent, however it is necessary to consider a possibility of development of side reactions, such as dizziness, drowsiness, disorder of vision, spasms.

Overdose

Experience of clinical use of azithromycin demonstrates to what the collateral manifestations developing at reception of the highest than is recommended, medicine doses, similar observed at application of usual therapeutic doses, namely: they can include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, a reversible hearing loss.

Side effects

Infection and invasion: candidiasis, oral candidiasis, vaginal infections, pneumonia, fungal infection, bacterial infection, pharyngitis, gastroenteritis, breath dysfunction, rhinitis, pseudomembranous colitis.

from blood and lymphatic system: leukopenia, neutropenia, eosinophilia, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia.

from the immune system a Quincke's disease, hypersensitivity reactions, an acute anaphylaxis.

from a metabolism: anorexia (lack of appetite).

from mentality: nervousness, insomnia, agitation, aggression, concern, delirium, hallucinations.
