I. General information

1. Trade name of medicine: Telazol of 100 mg (Telazol).

International non-proprietary name: tiletamin, to zolazepa.

2. Dosage form: the lyophilized powder for preparation of solution for injections.

for injections of Telazol medicine of 100 mg contains In 1 ml of the prepared solution: 50 mg of a tiletamin (in the form of a tiletamin of a hydrochloride) and 50 mg of a zolazepam (in the form of a zolazepam of a hydrochloride) and also excipients: 57.7 mg of a mannitol.

On appearance powder represents liofilno the dried-up weight from white till amber color. After cultivation, medicine represents transparent solution from colourless till slightly amber color.

3. Telazol 100 release in the form of liofilno the dried-up powder packaged in the glass bottles with a capacity of 10 ml corked by the rubber traffic jams strengthened by aluminum caps. The bottle is packed into a cardboard box. Put the instruction for its application in each box with medicine.

III. Application order

9. Telazol it is contraindicated to animal to apply 100 mg with pancreas diseases, at the expressed malfunction of a cardiovascular and respiratory system, a hypertension. Animals with diseases of kidneys should lower a dose of medicine. It is forbidden to apply a pregnant animal. As medicine gets through a placenta and can cause oppression of breath of a fruit, it is forbidden to apply medicine at Cesarean section.

10. Before Telazols application 100 mg it is recommended to keep to a hungry diet within not less than 12 hours before an injection.

11. In 15 minutes prior to Telazols application for a premedikation sulfate in a dose is recommended to enter 100 mg hypodermically atropine: to dogs – 0.1 mg/kg of mass of an animal, to cats – 0.05 mg/kg of mass of an animal.

12. Just before application with Telazol medicine of 100 mg enter 5 ml of water for injections with observance of rules of an asepsis into a bottle. Water for injections is bought separately and is not a part of medicine. Concentration of the received Telazola solution of 100 mg makes 100 mg of active agents in 1 ml of medicine.

Telazol 100 mg apply

Dog:

- Clinical examination – 7-10 mg/kg;

- Short-term general anesthesia at small surgical interventions – 10-13 mg/kg;

- Long general anesthesia at extensive and painful surgical interventions – no more than 25 mg/kg.

Maximum allowed dose makes 29 mg/kg.

Cat:

- Clinical examination – 10-12 mg/kg;

- Short-term general anesthesia at small surgical interventions – 10.5-12.5 mg/kg;

- Long general anesthesia at extensive and painful surgical interventions – 14-16 mg/kg.

Maximum allowed dose makes 72 mg/kg.

13. At introduction of high doses or at Telazols intolerance of 100 mg can arise apnoe. During awakening the vomiting, a gipersalivation and bronchial hyper secretion can be observed if before an anesthesia the premedikation was not carried out by atropine. During surgical intervention – involuntary muscular twitchings, a hyper tone, cyanosis, rigidity of muscles.

14. At overdose carry out artificial ventilation of lungs. Other symptoms eliminate by means of symptomatic therapy.

15. Simultaneous application of Telazol of 100 mg and a fenotiazin causes oppression of breath and warm activity, hypotension, a hypothermia and a pulmonary edema.

16. Medicine is not intended for application to productive animals.

IV. Measures of personal prevention
