Structure:

Rimadil P is nonsteroid anti-inflammatory medicine in the form of the tablets for oral application containing in quality of the operating means karprofen – 20 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg in a tablet, and as excipients the powder of pork liver which is dried up by dispersion, the hydrolyzed vegetable protein, corn starch, confectionery sugar, glucosic syrup, gelatin type A, magnesium stearate, and lactoses monohydrate.

Pharmacological properties:

Karprofen, Rimadila active ingredient P, treats group of nonsteroid anti-inflammatory medicines, and possesses anti-inflammatory, analgetic and febrifugal action.
Karprofen, as well as other nonsteroid anti-inflammatory medicines, inhibits a tsikloksigenaza in a cycle of arachidonic acid. At the same time medicine mainly influences on tsikloksigenazu-II which is induced in response to inflammation development. Synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins is as a result blocked. In therapeutic doses karprofen works on tsikloksigenazu-I much more weakly, and thanks to it does not influence synthesis of protective prostaglandins. Thus, karprofen does not interfere with normal physiological processes in fabrics, especially in a stomach, intestines, kidneys and platelets. Karprofen is quickly soaked up from digestive tract, reaches the peak of concentration in blood plasma in 1-3 hours after introduction, at bioavailability more than 90%. Semi-removal time at dogs is about 8 hours. Karprofen more than for 99% contacts proteins of plasma. Medicine in a liver is metabolized, emitted mainly with excrements (about 80%), and with urine.
