Use

Outwardly in the form of appliques (compresses, bandages) on all zone of the pyoinflammatory center are applied by 2–3 times a day for 20–30 min. depending on the size of a suppurative focus on 5–15 ml of ioddicerin.

Period of treatment is determined by time of full clarification of a wound surface, emergence of granulations and epithelization. Usually the course of treatment makes from 3 to 5 days.

At extensive or deep defeats by Yodditserin are impregnated by turundas, tampons or gauze bandages, impose them on purulent wounds or enter into wounds, bandage or fix by an adhesive plaster. If necessary the tampons or gauze bandages impregnated with medicament cover from above with a polyethylene film for increase in antibacterial effect.

Into serous cavities, cavities of abscesses after removal of pus and washing by sterile physiological solution or peroxide of hydrogen (depending on defeat center size) are entered by 5–10 ml of solution of Yodditserin and drain for continuous outflow of contents. Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to iodine and to any components of drug, a hyperthyroidism, adenoma of a thyroid gland, herpetiform dermatitis of a dyuring, the period before therapy by radioiodine, simultaneous use with radioiodine, a liver and renal failure, a myocardial infarction, stenocardia, the profound atherosclerosis, glaucoma, a cataract, a stroke, a coma.

Side effects

from the immune system: reactions of hypersensitivity;

a disease of skin and hypodermic cellulose: itching, rash, erythema, Quincke's disease, dermatitis, small tortoiseshell, xeroderma;

general disturbances and changes in the injection site: a hyperthermia, an adynamia, local reactions, including pain in the site of application, burning, reddening on the place of applique;

from a digestive tract: nausea, desires to vomiting, diarrhea;

an injury, poisoning and procedural complications: at prolonged use (more than 7-10 days) the iodism phenomena are possible (cold, skin rashes as a small tortoiseshell, salivation, metal smack in a mouth, dacryagogue);

from blood and lymphatic system: a neutropenia (through a system reabsorption of iodine at use on the big areas of a wound surface and mucous membranes);

endocrine disorders: a hypothyroidism, a hyperthyroidism (through a system reabsorption of iodine at use on the big areas of a wound surface and mucous membranes);

research: change of results of tests of functional activity of a thyroid gland; changes of osmolarity of blood;

metabolism and disorders of food: metabolic acidosis, changes of level of electrolytes (hypernatremia);

from kidneys and an urinary system: renal failure, OPN;

from nervous system: dizziness;

mental disorders: insomnia;

from the respiratory system, bodies of a thorax and mediastinum: bronchospasm.

Interaction

In cases of use for patients of medicaments of lithium it is necessary to avoid regular use of Yodditserin, especially on big surfaces as in this case iodine can cause hypofunction of a thyroid gland.

with the restoring substances, alkaloid salts and cationic antiseptic agents. The dimethyl sulfoxide strengthens influence of ethanol, insulin, medicaments of a digitalis, Butadionum, antibiotics, quinidine, nitroglycerine, sensibilizes an organism to anesthetics.

At overdose the iodism phenomena (metal smack in a mouth, cold, urticaria, dacryagogue, salivation), burns, irritation of skin are possible

At accidental intake in large numbers (50–100 ml) of Yodditserin the vomiting, diarrhea and symptoms of intoxication develops. In these cases wash a stomach of 0.5% with Natrium thiosulfuricum solution. In hard cases in/in enter 30% of solution of Natrium thiosulfuricum to 5–10 ml.
