Rosetta is a studio album, and it is the first album in 15 years of the Greek composer and the musician Vangelis which is released on September 23, 2016 on Decca Records. It is devoted to a mission of the Rosetta space probe launched in 2004 of the being one of its several works which were inspired by space flights (Albedo 0.39) or are released in cooperation with space missions (Mythodea). Rosetta received the nomination on the award "Grammy" for the best album "New Century" on the 59th annual award "Grammy".
Project is result of a video call of 2014 made between the astronaut of ESA André Ceypersom and Vangelis during Kuipers mission onboard the International Space Station. After their conversation Vangelis was inspired to write the album devoted to the first mission. In November, 2014 on an official channel of YouTube of ESA three videos with three compositions in honor of the first attempt to soft-land on comets a mission were released: "Arrival", "Travel Phil" and "Valls Rosetta".
Vangelis devoted an album to all who made a possible mission of Rosetta ESA, and "Valls Rosetta" shows the gratitude to participants of a mission. Carle Walkers

from an album was used in digital animation of Chasing Stars, Ross Ashton and Karen Monid from Projection Studio which was projected on the Blackpool tower within the show Lightpool Light Blackpool in September, 2016.
