Valekard-Zdorovye – sleeping pill and sedative, for treatment – neurosises with acrimony; insomnia; in complex therapy of a hypertension and vegeto-vascular dystonia; indistinct spasms of coronary vessels; tachycardia; the enterospasms caused by neurovegetative disorders (as spasmolytic medicine).

Structure

• active ingredients: phenobarbital; ethyl ether alpha bromizovalerianovoy acids; peppermint oil;
• 1 tablet contains phenobarbital – 7.5 mg; ethyl ether alpha bromizovalerianovoy acids – 8.2 mg; peppermint oils – 0.58 mg;
• other components: corn starch, lactoses monohydrate, cellulose microcrystalline, β-cyclodextrin, povidone, magnesium stearate.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to medicine components, the expressed abnormal liver functions and kidneys, a hepatic porphyria, heavy heart failure. The medicines containing phenobarbital are contraindicated at the expressed arterial hypotension, a sharp myocardial infarction, diabetes, a depression, a myasthenia, alcoholism, medicament and medicinal addiction, respiratory diseases with an asthma, an obstructive syndrome.

• from digestive system: constipations, heavy feeling in epigastric area, at prolonged use – an abnormal liver function, nausea, vomiting;
• from nervous system: weakness, ataxy, lack of coordination of movements, nystagmus, hallucinations, paradoxical arousing, decrease in concentration of attention, fatigue, slowness of reactions, headaches, cognitive violations, confusion of consciousness, drowsiness, slight dizziness;
• from bodies of blood formation: anemia, thrombocytopenia, Agranulocytosis;
• from a cardiovascular system: arterial hypotension, bradycardia;
• from the immune system: reactions of hypersensitivity, including a Quincke's disease, allergic reactions (including skin rash, an itch, a small tortoiseshell);
• from skin and mucous membranes: Stephens's syndrome – Johnson, a toxic epidermal necrolysis;
• from the musculoskeletal system: at prolonged use of the means containing phenobarbital there is a risk of violation of bone formation;

Long administration of medicaments containing bromine can lead

to poisoning with bromine which is characterized by the following symptoms: oppression of the central nervous system, depressive mood, confusion of consciousness, ataxy, apathy, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, dacryagogue, acne or purple.

Route of administration

Dosage and duration of a course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually for each patient.

Adult, as a rule, are appointed on 1-2 tablets of medicine by 2-3 times a day to food.

Experience of application for treatment of children is absent therefore medicament is not used in pediatric practice.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms

Valekard-Zdorovye can cause drowsiness and dizziness therefore during treatment the patients are not recommended to work with dangerous mechanisms and to steer vehicles.

Overdose is possible

at frequent or prolonged use of medicine that it is connected with cumulation of its components. Prolonged and constant use can result in dependence, an abstinence syndrome, psychomotor excitement.

overdose Symptoms: respiratory depression up to its stop; oppression of the central nervous system, up to a comma; oppression of cardiovascular activity, including violation of a rhythm, a lowering of arterial pressure, up to a kollaptoidny state; nausea, weakness, fall of temperature of a body, reduction of a diuresis.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction with other medicines and other types of interactions

in case of simultaneous use of medicine with other medicines suppressing the central nervous system, perhaps mutual strengthening of action. Effect of medicine amplifies against the background of use of medicines of valproic acid, alcohol. Phenobarbital induces enzymes of a liver and, thus, can accelerate metabolism of some medicaments which are metabolized liver enzymes (including indirect anticoagulants, cardiac glycosides, antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, antiepileptic, anticonvulsant, psychotropic, oral, immune antihypertensive medicines).

Phenobarbital strengthens effect of analgetics and anesthetics.

Inhibitors of a monoaminooxidase (MAO) prolong effect of phenobarbital. Rifampicin can reduce effect of phenobarbital.

At simultaneous use of phenobarbital with medicines of gold the risk of damage of kidneys increases.

At prolonged simultaneous use of phenobarbital with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicaments the risk of ulceration of a stomach and bleeding exists.

Simultaneous use of phenobarbital with a zidovudine increases toxicity of both medicines.

Drug increases toxicity of a methotrexate.
