Pharmacological properties
Foam-forming solution intended for antiseptic processing of skin and mucous membranes. are a part of medicine chlorhexidin (a cationic antiseptic agent of group of synthetic biguanides); hexamidine (cationic antiseptic agent of group of diamidines); chlorocresol (antiseptic agent of group of the halogenated phenols).
Drug is a soft antiseptic agent with bacteriostatic (but not bactericidal), antifungal and antimecotic action.
Organic materials can partially inhibit medicine. It forms complex connections with a stopper, rubber and other polymers, macromolecules, anion (washed) also with not ionic surfactants.
Indication
Antiseptic processing of skin and mucous membranes at bacterial and fungal infections, at tendency to development of superinfections.
Use
Only outwardly. application inside or is parenterally forbidden!
is Used as liquid soap in not divorced look or after cultivation by water in the ratio 1:10. After medicine applique the processed site is washed out a large amount of water.
Divorced solution of medicine to storage are not subject to.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to a hexamidine or a chlorhexidin. tendency to allergic reactions and allergic diseases, dermatitis, viral diseases of skin.
Tsiteal cannot be used for:
- antiseptic processing of skin before injections;
- antiseptic processing of skin before the invasive procedures demanding surgical antiseptics (spinal puncture, installation of the central venous catheter, etc.);
- disinfection of medical or surgical instruments;
- washing of perigastriums;
- wounds with a big surface;
- surgical interventions on central nervous system.
not to allow contact of medicine with a meninx.
Drug is not used locally in ophthalmologic practice and also for processing of external acoustical pass if there is a perforation of a tympanic membrane.
Side effects
Local reactions: pain, an itch, burning, irritation, xeroderma, a dermahemia, stickiness of skin of hands, photosensitivity, especially at repeated use.
emergence of local hypersensitivity reactions on chlorhexidin, such as contact dermatitis, small tortoiseshell, contact eczema Is possible; and also an acute anaphylaxis, a Quincke's disease, a bronchospasm (especially when processing of the injured skin and mucous membranes or ulcers of the lower extremities). These reactions can strengthen defeats by superinfections.
When drawing on the injured skin or mucous membranes the risk of generalized allergic reaction on chlorhexidin and development of an acute anaphylaxis, a bronchospasm, urticaria, hypotension, tachycardia, collapse, stenocardia exists.
Hexamidine can cause a sensitization which probability of emergence increases with strengthening of weight of epidermal defeats. The contact dermatitis caused by a hexamidine is associated with specific reaction of Artyus that can demonstrate participation of humoral immunologic mechanisms. Clinical symptoms in such cases generally differ from classical contact eczema: rash usually with infiltrates, the papular or papulo-vesicular hemispherical elements of rash isolated or grouped are observed. In places of applique of their antiseptic agent it is more and they can merge. Often such defeats slowly regress.
Special instructions
Considering lack of information on transdermalny absorption, it is impossible to exclude emergence of system effects. probability of their emergence increases at repeated appliques, especially when the big site, a surface under an occlusive bandage or mucous membranes, in the presence of damages on skin (including burns) and also in case of processing of skin of newborns is processed (considering a ratio of surface area and body weight of the child and also occlusal action of diapers).
After opening of a bottle the risk of microbic pollution of medicine exists.
As well as after use of any detergents, the processed site it is necessary to wash with water carefully.
Note. Antiseptics are not sterilizing. They only temporarily reduce quantity of microorganisms.
Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Drug is used during pregnancy and feeding by a breast only in cases when the expected positive effect for mother exceeds potential risk for the fruit/child.
Influence on ability to steer vehicles and to work with difficult mechanisms. Does not influence.
Children. Tsiteal it is possible to apply to antiseptic processing of skin of children, including chest age.
Interaction
Considering a possibility of interaction (antagonism, an inactivation) it is necessary to avoid simultaneous or consecutive application of a tsiteal with other antiseptic agents for processing of a surface of skin.
Should avoid simultaneous use with soap. Not to cork a bottle with a product from a stopper.
Drug increases sensitivity of bacteria to levomycetinum, sulfate Kanamycinum, sulfate Neomycinum, cephalosporins. It is incompatible with iodine medicines because of danger of developing of dermatitis, with soap and other anion connections (colloids, arabic gum, carboxymethylcellulose). Ethanol strengthens effect of medicine.
Chlorhexidin is incompatiblewith borates, carbonates, chlorides, citrates, phosphates, sulfates as almost insoluble connections are formed.
toOverdose
byAbout overdose cases at external use of a tsiteal it was not reported. at topical administration in large numbers or at long contact the irritation of skin, dryness and an itch of skin, dermatitis and other manifestations of side reactions is possible. in such cases it is necessary to wash away carefully solution water.
Accidental ingestion can make sick and vomiting, the complicated breath, cyanosis owing to paralysis of respiratory muscles that can lead to asphyxia. The oppression of central nervous system which is followed by spasms, AG is possible, there can be a coma, cases of a lethal outcome with signs of hepatonephric insufficiency are described.
At accidental application of Tsiteal inside should not wash out a stomach as medicine is foam-forming.
