Third studio album English progressiv the rock groups Yes, Atlantic Records released on February 19, 1971 on a label. Eto the first album of group recorded with the guitarist Steve Hau who replaced Peter Banks in 1970 and also a latest album of group with the keyboard player Tony Kaye to an album "90125" of 1983.
Alby became the first album of group in which there were no cover versions. In the mid-seventies the group composed and rehearsed new material on a farm in Romansli, Devon, and in the fall new songs were recorded in Advision Studios in London. While in an album the harmonious singing of Anderson, Tony Kayes body and a melodious bass of Chris Skvayr as it was heard on earlier releases remained, new material also covered other styles, including a jazz piano, funk and acoustic music.
