Pharmacological properties

Drug narrows vessels in the site of application, reduces a rhinedema and the upper airways, reduces discharges from a nose, restores nasal breath, promotes restoration of aeration of adnexal bosoms of a nose, tympanic cavity that prevents development of bacterial complications (sinusitis, average otitis). at nasal application in therapeutic concentration does not irritate a mucous membrane of a nose, does not cause hyperaemia.

Oil of a camomile and eucalyptole have local anti-inflammatory effect, facilitate a slime otkhozhdeniye. Drug softly affects the angry mucous membrane of the nasal courses, humidifies and protects it from excessive drying.

Indication

Acute respiratory diseases which are followed by rhinitis; rhinitises of a different etiology (allergic rhinitis, vasomotorial rhinitis); for restoration of a drainage and nasal breath at diseases of adnexal bosoms of a nasal cavity, an eustachitis; for elimination of hypostasis before diagnostic or surgical manipulations in a nasal cavity.

Use

Before each use should stir up a bottle vigorously. to remove the protecting cap. before the first use of the portioning device several times to press it before emergence of a stream of aerosol. to insert a tip into a nostril and to press the portioning device, having made at the same time a deep breath a nose, at the same time there is no need to throw back the head back. then to repeat the procedure, having inserted a tip into other nostril. after use to wipe absolutely a tip and to close a bottle the protecting cap.

Drug is appointed to adults and children 6 years on 1 injection in each nasal course with an interval of 10-12 h 2 times a day are aged more senior.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to medicine components; atrophic rhinitis; use of inhibitors of Mao and other medicines which can raise hell; the increased intraocular pressure, closed-angle glaucoma; serious cardiovascular illness (ag, stenocardia); pheochromocytoma; hyperthyroidism; diabetes.

Side effects

from a respiratory system: frequent (≥1–10%) — burning or xeromycteria, sneezing; single (≥0.01-0.1%) — after the effect of use of medicine will end — feeling of strong congestion of a nose (reactive hyperemia).

from digestive system: single (≥0.01-0.1%) — nausea.

. These reactions can arise after 5–7 days of use of medicine, in case of further application the nasal cavity mucosal atrophy is possible.

from nervous system: single (≥0.01-0.1%) — insomnia, fatigue, a headache, concern.

from a cardiovascular system: infrequent (≥0.1-1%) — topical nasal administration can cause system effects, such as palpitation, increase of pulse and increase in the ABP.

Special instructions

should not use Drug longer than 7 days. prolonged use can lead to decrease in effect of medicine, cause development of atrophic rhinitis and a reactive hyperemia with medicamentous rhinitis and also decrease of the activity and injury of an epithelium of a mucous membrane of a nose.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. It is not recommended to use medicament during pregnancy or feeding by a breast.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. At prolonged use of medicine in high doses it is impossible to exclude its influence on cardiovascular and central nervous system. In such cases the ability to steer vehicles or to work with other mechanisms can decrease.

Children. Do not apply at children under 6 years.

Interaction

This medicament cannot be used in combination with Mao's inhibitors or for 2 weeks after use of inhibitors of Mao because of risk of development ag.

Should use with care medicament to the patients accepting Bromocriptinum as development of violations from a cardiovascular system is possible.

Overdose

At overdose or accidental intake such symptoms can arise: narrowing of pupils, nausea, vomiting, cyanosis, fervescence, tachycardia, arrhythmia, collapse, vascular insufficiency, ag, respiratory frustration, a fluid lungs, cardiac arrest, can arise mental disorders and also oppression of the central nervous system functions which are followed by drowsiness, decrease in body temperature, bradycardia, arterial hypotension, an apnoea and possible development of a coma.

Treatment: gastric lavage, intake of activated carbon, symptomatic therapy. It is not necessary to accept angiotonic means.
