Drops oral Fenokit are shown at:

• symptomatic treatment of allergic diseases: small tortoiseshells, seasonal (hay fever) and year-round allergic rhinitis, allergy to medicines and food.
• to the nagger of various origin, except connected with a cholestasia. An itching at diseases with skin rashes, such as chicken pox. Stings of insects.

Structure

Active ingredient: dimetindena maleate;

1 ml;

Excipients: benzoic acid (E 210), citric acid monohydrate, sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, Trilonum B, propylene glycol, sodium saccharin, water purified.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to a dimetinden of a maleate or to any other component of medicine. Existence at the patient of a stenosis of the duodenum/gatekeeper.

Route of administration

to Adults, children is more senior than 12 years and to patients of advanced age.

Recommended daily dose makes 3-6 mg, divided into 3 receptions - till 20-40 drops 3 times a day. To the patients inclined to drowsiness, it is recommended to appoint 40 drops before going to bed and 20 drops in the morning, during a breakfast.

after preliminary consultation with the doctor, children from 1 month to 1 year can apply only according to the recommendation of the doctor. The daily dosage makes 0.1 mg (i.e. 2 drops) on kilogram of body weight a day, distributed on 3 receptions.

20 drops = 1 ml = 1 mg of a dimetinden of a maleate.

Fenokit, a drop to influence of high temperature. With warm baby food they should be added to a small bottle just before feeding. If the child is fed from a spoon, drops can be applied undiluted, in a teaspoon. Drops have pleasant taste.

Overdose

At overdose of the medicine Fenokit as well as other antihistaminic medicines, such symptoms can arise: oppression of the central nervous system (CNS), drowsiness (mainly at adults), stimulation of central nervous system and anticholinergic effects (especially at children), including excitement, an ataxy, tachycardia, hallucinations, spasms, a tremor, an ischuria and fever. Also after that development of arterial hypotension is possible.

specific antidote in case of overdose of antihistaminic medicines does not exist.

Side effects

Main side effect of use of medicine is drowsiness, especially in an initiation of treatment. Seldom or never allergic reactions can be observed.

Interaction

Tricyclic antidepressants and anticholinergic medicines, for example bronchial spasmolytics, gastrointestinal spasmolysants, midriatika, urological antimuskarinovy means can cause additional antimuskarinovy effect at reception together with antihistamines at the expense of what the risk of aggravation of symptoms of glaucoma and a delay of urination increases.
