"Music from Big Pink" is the debut album of the Canadian-American The Band folk rock group released in 1968 on a label of "Capitol Records". The album included the songs written generally on the country house of "Big Pink" located in Sogertis, New York and belonging to Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson where the group, together with Bob Dylan, made more than hundred demos when it after hit in accident for a while stopped the tour activity.
Alby was recorded at several studios in Los Angeles and New York and produced by John Simon.
B 2003 the Rolling Stone magazine placed an album Music from Big Pink on the 34th place of the list "500 greatest albums of all times". Alby holds the fifth place in the list of hundred best debut albums according to the Uncut magazine.
