The Band – Cahoots (Capitol Records – SMAS 651, USA, 1971).
Fourth studio album of the Canadian-American rock group The Band. It was released in 1971 and received ambiguous comments, and was their latest album with original material in four years. The front side of a cover of an album was drawn by the New York illustrator Gilbert Stone, and on a back cover the photograph of group of Richard Avedon is represented. At an album there is an invited vocal Van Morrison. Libby Titus, at that time the common-law wife Helma and mother of their daughter Amy Helm, also sang not specified background vocals in "The River Hymn", for the first time the woman appeared on a group album.
Critic of the Rolling Stone magazine John Landau described mood of an album as "filled with an extinction shade". Plastinks
practically in excellent condition.
