Streptocide is applied to prevention and therapy of wound fevers (wounds, ulcers, decubituses), burns; for treatment of an ugly face, coloenterites, a pyelitis, the cystitis, a tonsillitis caused by activators, sensitive to Streptocide.

Structure

Active ingredient: streptocide; 1 tablet contains streptocides of 0.5 g

Excipients: potato starch, calcium stearate.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to components of drug, a disease of the haematogenic system, a nefroza, nephrites, a bazedova a disease. In this form medicament to children is younger than 3 years is not applied.

Route of administration

is Applied inside in 30 min. prior to food. Appoint 0.5-1 g of 5-6 times a day, all to day - 3-6 g. Duration of a course of treatment - 3-5 days.

• to children aged from 3 up to 5 years – on 0.25 g of 5-6 times a day
• from 6 to 12 years – on 0.25-0.5 g of 5-6 times a day
• from 12 to 18 years – on 0.5-0.75 g of 5-6 times a day.

Maximum doses for adults: single - 2 g, daily - 7 g

• from 3 to 5 years single – 0.75 g, daily - 2 g
• from 6 to 12 years single – 1.25 g, daily - 3 g
• from 12 to 18 years single – 1.5 g, daily - 4 g

Feature of use

Pregnancy and feeding by a breast

during pregnancy streptocide it is possible to apply when the expected advantage for mother prevails over risk for the child. During administration of medicament the feeding by a breast should be stopped.

Influence on ability to run vehicles or to work with difficult mechanisms.

If during treatment the dizziness is observed, it is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles and work with mechanisms.

At overdose the nausea, vomiting, dizziness, a headache, cyanosis, tachycardia, paresthesias, diarrhea, a cholestasia, a hamaturia, a renal failure with an anury are possible

Side effects

At intake of Streptocide inside sometimes note a headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, development of cyanosis is possible. Reception of a large amount of medicament can cause changes in the haematogenic system (leukopenia, an agranulocytosis), sometimes paresthesias, tachycardia and also dermatitis, a diarrhea.

Novocaine which contains residue of paraaminobenzoic acid and some other medicines of the same chemical composition can render to

anti-sulfanamide effect that needs to be considered when prescribing Streptocide.
