Ethyl ether of α-bromizovalerianovy acid has the reflex calming and spasmolytic effect caused by decrease in reflex irritability in the central parts of the nervous system and strengthening of the phenomena of braking in neurons of bark and subcrustal structures of a brain and also decrease of the activity of the central vasomotor centers and direct spasmolytic action on unstriated muscles of vessels.

Pharmacokinetics. It was not studied.

Indication

As sedative at different types of neurosises, at somatoformny disorders (vegeto-vascular dystonia), at stresses. in complex therapy ag, diseases of a menyer, climacteric frustration, a premenstrual syndrome, migraine attacks. medicine is shown in psychologically difficult situations for stabilization of an emotional background, decrease in level of alarm, reduction of irritability, maintaining psychological balance.

As sleeping medicine at sleep disorders (insomnia) of various origin.

Use

Recommended dose — 1–2 tablets a day inside (orally). a pill should be taken to food, washing down with liquid. at sleep disorders — on 2 tablets of 1 times in 30 min. prior to a dream inside (orally).

Duration of treatment is defined by the doctor individually.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to medicine components. the expressed abnormal liver functions and/or kidneys. heavy heart failure. arterial hypotension, bradycardia.

Side effects

In some cases can arise such side effects:

from a digestive tract: discomfort in a stomach and intestines, nausea, vomiting;

from nervous system: drowsiness, slight dizziness, decrease in concentration of attention;

from the immune system: allergic reactions (rash, itch, hyperaemia, cutaneous dropsy), vasculitis;

from a cardiovascular system: tachycardia, bradycardia, ventricular tachycardia.

These phenomena are eliminated with a dose decline.

Drug contains aspartame which in an organism is transformed to phenylalanine therefore it should not be applied at patients with phenylketonuria.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Not to apply during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Children. The efficiency and safety of use of medicine for children aged up to 12 years are not established therefore application for this category of patients is not recommended.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. It is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles or work with difficult mechanisms.

Interaction

Drugs of the central oppressing type of action strengthen effect of medicine. medicine strengthens action mestnoanesteziruyushchy, anesthetics and sleeping medicines.

does not recommend a concomitant use with benzodiazepines. It is necessary to avoid simultaneous application with Disulfiramum.

Overdose

at frequent or long use of medicine that it is connected with cumulation of its components. manifestations of hypersensitivity are possible that demands the desensibilizing therapy.

Symptoms: slackness, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and also episodes of unstable ventricular tachycardia.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy.
