Oh, man, this takes me back. Back to the days when I watched the Paris gig on VHS and listened to If You Want Blood. The rawness, the energy and the pure damned excitement of a band that was just going balls out. Bon interacts with the crowd like the crowd pleaser he was and the band play like demented banshees. Bloody brilliant. Sound quality is pretty good. I sort of expected it to be middling bootleg quality but to be honest its not much worse than If You Want Blood. Im slightly surprised that AC/DC havent collared this and given it to some sound engineers to polish up to modern standards. It could easily be done, Im sure. And its live. Proper live that is. Warts and all. And despite that its good. Bon sings well - with only the odd croak when really going for it on Whole Lotta Rosie. Im not one who prefers Bon over Brian or visa versa. I like the sound they give AC/DC for different reasons. This record comes from that golden AC/DC era between 1977 and 1986 when they simply knocked out great banging records with vast amounts of energy both on and off stage. Anyway, if you are a fan then buy this. It really is a great live record of an outstanding era of an outstanding band.
