This album is of course long overdue, and as always the choice of songs is a matter of taste. But here we thought of the three or four Tietel, which must be included on such an album by this band.
What is striking, however, are three things that make this album completely independent of the intention to set a small memorial for one of the most influential and successful bands at all.
1. The selection of the singers is tremendously successful. They can all sing, fit the Songs like a fist on their eyes and sing so clearly and understandably that you dont often find it today. Let the names melt on your tongue like a fine drop that lies so wonderfully on the palate that you dont feel like swallowing it.
2. The band. Not only is the joy of playing impressive, the compositional variations on the original are great. She easily manages to remind you of a time when this kind of rocknroll can be hard to be fashionable. The guitar solos are often better done than in the original songs and the power of the band goes off like a dagger.
3. It was done here, and this as an exception in connection with experience with other tribute albums, to put the songs in a new light, even though the window is already so old. And what find almost even better is the freshness with which the songs come along.
What have to regret is the loveless cover design of the album. If you are already presenting a new light in the old window, why do you paint it nicely? Print from a star.
Conclusion: If you love classic rock, you will get a pearl delivered, even if you are not a fan of Nazareth.
Buy recommendation: definitely for fans of this music.
