Sometimes JJ comes bluesy, sometimes rocky, sometimes jazzy, sometimes spanish with a stunning flamenco Flamenco touch etc. A pleasure to listen to the album and the versatility of the musician and composer ! At his side sessionasse like Hoyt Axton, Jim Keltner etc. are at his side. Songs like "Whos Talking" are in no way inferior to his hits inferior to his hits. Its no coincidence that his songs have been used by the likes.. by people like Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, etc. Laid Back is probably the most appropriate expression for his music ! Slowhand Clapton called his style: "... really, really minimal..., its all about finesse."
