Pharmacological properties

Metronidazole — derivative a nitroimidazole. affects many anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, destroying and inhibiting synthesis of their nucleic acids.

Indication

Topical treatment of inflammatory papules, pustules, rozatsea and acne.

Use

Cream is applied a thin layer to face skin and slightly rubbed 1–2 times a day after washing by warm water or broth of a camomile. medicament is used within 1–2 months the clinical improvement usually is observed during the first 3 weeks of therapy.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to metronidazole.

Side effects

Metronidazole at topical administration has insignificant toxicity and is well transferred. passing hyperaemia, insignificant dryness, burning and feeling of tightness of skin are possible. system side effects at topical administration of metronidazole are noted.

Special instructions

When putting cream should not allow its hits in eyes. after putting cream on skin it is necessary to avoid direct sunshine.

At topical administration — are improbable

Interaction

. there is a theoretical possibility of strengthening of effect of oral anticoagulants therefore to the patients taking these drugs, medicine is appointed with care.
