Phytosyrup of a licorice of a root is applied in complex therapy of the infectious and inflammatory respiratory diseases which are followed by the complicated expectoration and cough (sharp and chronic bronchitis, a tracheobronchitis, pneumonia, a bronchoectatic disease).

Structure

Active ingredient: 5 ml of syrup contain dense extract of a licorice of a root (Liquiritiae radix) (2.75-3:1) (extractant - water) - 0.25 g;

Excipients: sugar confectionery, ethanol of 90%, the water purified.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to medicine components. Diabetes, violation of functions of a liver and kidneys, arterial hypertension, hypopotassemia, heavy degree of obesity.

Route of administration

to Adults and children is more senior than 12 years to apply on 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of syrup after a meal 3-4 times a day.

Duration of a course of treatment is defined by the doctor individually for each patient taking into account severity and features of a course of the disease, stability of the reached therapeutic effect and tolerance of medicine.

Side effects

allergic reactions, including erubescence, rash, an itch, hypostasis of violation of water and electrolytic balance (appearance of hypostases), increase in arterial blood pressure. Prolonged use of medicines of a licorice in overdoses can lead to development of a hypopotassemia; the gipokaliyemichesky myopathy and a myoglobinuria are in some cases possible.

Interaction

Hypopotassemia (as a result of excessive application of a root of a licorice) can amplify in interaction with the cardiac glycosides, antiarrhytmic medicines and medicines influencing a warm rhythm (for example, quinidine). At combined use with medicines which predetermine development of a hypopotassemia (thiazide and loopback diuretics, adrenokortikosteroidam and laxative medicines) there can be a violation of electrolytic balance therefore it is not necessary to apply a long time "A root licorice syrup" along with the medicines stated above.
