Rolling Stones – Beggars Banquet (Decca – SKL.4955, UK, 1968).
"Beggars Banquet" is an album of the English rock group Rolling Stones. On was let out in December, 1968 on Decca Records labels in Great Britain and London Records in the USA; it is the seventh British and ninth American studio album. The first album Rolling Stones produced by Jimmy Miller whose producer work created key aspect of sounding of Rolling Stones in the late sixties - the beginning of the 1970th years.
Brian Jones, the founder and the leader of group, became more and more unreliable in studio because of the use of drugs, and it was the latest album of Rolling Stones released at his life though he also participated in writing of two songs for their following album "Let It Bleed" who is let out after his death. On received very positive reviews of musical critics who considered it return to the best sounding of group. Though at the time of release the album lacked "a hit single", such songs as "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Street Fighting Man", became the main in rock radio for the decades ahead. Being one of their most known albums, it is considered the beginning of strong reputation of group as "greatest rocknroll group in the world". Alby appeared in many lists of the greatest albums of all times, including in Rolling Stone, and in 1999 it was brought to the Hall of Fame of the Grammy. Plastinks
