"Alive and Well" (Russian. "It is alive and healthy") — the ninth studio album American the heavy-metal of the Quiet Riot group which left on March 23, 1999 on the American label of Cleopatra Records. An album was recorded at the American recording studios of "A&M Studios", Hollywood and "The Blue Room", Vudland-Hillz, Los Angeles, California, the USA in 1999. The album is produced by the famous American engineer, the musician and the producer Bob Marlett who worked with such performers as Tracy Chapman, Marshall Crenshaw, Rick Springfield, Tim Pierce, 2wo, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson by then. It was written down by
after reunion of classical structure of Quiet Riot of the first half of the 80th and apogee of "Metal Health": Kevin DyuBrou, Rudi Sarzo, Carlos Kavaso and Frankie Banali.
Album received rather positive reviews from the leading musical editions. The musical edition Allmusic gave a response on "Alive and Well" that producing and record excellent, allow each tool to breathe. Frankie Banalis drum sharp and exact, it strongly clings. Tasty combination of clean chords to a distortion and perfect solo Kavaso, as always, ahead. Sarzo sounds qualitatively as usual, and DyuBrous voice sounds also courageously and vigorously, as well as always. Result: it is really solid record as 90% of what Quiet Riot did in the career. Eto one of the best "comeback" of albums which can be found for any fate / metal band.
So, "Alive and Well" is return to a uniform of these old metalworkers. It is jammed with rock anthems ("Dont Know What I Want", "Alive and Well", "Against the Wall" rewritten from "Condition Critical" (1984) in refined new execution — "Sign Of The Times" and a cover on "Highway to Hell" AC/DC), driving, irresistible and rather torn off. Fans of this excellent group probably too will like these melodies.
