Pharmacological properties

Pikovit syrup contains 9 important vitamins which take part in regulation of many biochemical processes in an organism. effects of vitamins and minerals in an organism generally physiological, but not pharmakodinamichesky. they play an important role in maintenance of the vital functions and psychological health.

group B Vitamins (In 1 , In 2 , In 6 , pantothenic acid and niacinamide) take part in processes of exchange of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and also play an important role in functioning of nervous system. Vitamin A is necessary for development of cells of an epithelium and for synthesis of a rhodopsin. Vitamin D regulates digestion of calcium and promotes an appropriate mineralization of bones and teeth. Vitamin C controls absorption of iron and takes part in many oxidation-reduction processes in an organism.

no data on medicine Pikovit pharmacokinetics syrup. Water-soluble vitamins (group B vitamins, vitamin C and biotin) are well acquired in the quantities corresponding to daily requirement. Excess quantities are removed with urine, in certain cases — with a stake. These vitamins are in an organism in limited quantity therefore they should be accepted regularly for the purpose of maintenance of the corresponding concentration in fabrics.

  • at physical and mental overworks at school students;
  • at lag in development;
  • as supportive application at treatment by antibiotics;
  • at seasonal deficiency of fruit and vegetables in a diet.

Use

For prevention of hypovitaminosis to children at the age of 1–3 years — on 1/2 measured spoons (2.5 ml) of syrup a day; 4–6 years — on 1 measured spoon (5 ml) of syrup a day; 7–14 years — on 1.5 measured spoons (7.5 ml) of syrup a day.

For treatment of hypovitaminosis to children at the age of 1–3 years — on 1 measured spoon (5 ml) of syrup 2 times a day; 4–6 years — on 1 measured spoon (5 ml) of syrup 3 times a day; 7–14 years — on 1 measured spoon (5 ml) of syrup 3, at most 4 times a day.

At reduced appetite should accept syrup for 1 month, at other indications — as necessary, depending on duration and the frequency of symptoms after consultation with the doctor.

Contraindication

    Hypersensitivity to active agents or any excipient; hypervitaminosis and and d; nephrolithiasis; gout; hyperuricemia; erythremia; hyperglobulia; thrombophlebitis; thrombembolia; syndrome of intolerance of fructose; syndrome of glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption; violation of metabolism of iron and copper; hypercalcemia; hypercalcuria; thyrotoxicosis; chronic glomerulonephritis; chronic heart failure; a sarcoidosis in the anamnesis; ulcer of stomach and duodenum (in connection with a possibility of increase in acidity of gastric juice); tuberculosis; children's age till 1 year.

Side effects

At use of medicine in the recommended doses the side effects do not arise.

from the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions to medicine components, including an acute anaphylaxis, a bronchospasm, a Quincke's edema are possible.

from metabolism and digestion: hypercalcemia.

from nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness.

from an organ of sight: disorder of vision.

from a GIT: dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, eructation, stomach ache, lock, diarrhea, increase in secretion of gastric juice.

from skin and hypodermic cellulose: rash, urticaria, itch, reddening.

from kidneys and urinary tract: urine discoloration, hypercalcuria.

General violations and violations of conditions of reception: hyperthermia, irritability, hyperhidrosis.

during long reception in high doses the following side reactions can arise.

Disturbance of metabolism and digestion: hyperuricemia; violation of tolerance to glucose, a hyperglycemia.

from nervous system: paresthesias.

from heart: arrhythmia.

from a GIT: gastrointestinal violations.

from skin and hypodermic cellulose: hair loss, seborrhea.

from kidneys and urinary tract: renal failure.

Laboratory indicators: tranzitorny increase in AsAT, SF, lactate dehydrogenase.

Special instructions

At emergence of any undesirable reactions medicine should be cancelled.

Before a concomitant use of other vitamin, mineral and/or mineral and vitamin medicines surely should consult with the doctor.

Pikovit syrup is not recommended to apply to patients with diabetes as 5 ml of syrup (1 measured spoon) contain 3 g of sugar.

With care is appointed to patients with a liver disease, sharp nephrite, a warm decompensation, cholelithiasis, chronic pancreatitis, allergic diseases, an idiosyncrasy, new growths.

Cannot plan pregnancy earlier, than in 6–12 months after therapy by Retinolum in high doses (10,000 ME), in connection with risk of emergence of embryonic violations under the influence of the high content of vitamin A in an organism. There can be a coloring of urine in yellow color in connection with the content in vitamin A drug. This effect is safe.

Special information on some excipients. Pekovite contains sucrose, glucose and E124 azoic dye. Patients with rare hereditary forms of intolerance of fructose, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption or sakharazo-izomaltazny deficiency should not take this drug. E124 azoic dye can cause development of allergic reactions.

simultaneous use of medicine pekovite with other medicines containing vitamin A or with oral retinoids. at treatment by streptocides it is necessary to avoid use of vitamin C in high doses to prevent development of a crystalluria. the pyridoxine reduces efficiency of a levodopa if the patient accepts only a levodopa. Riboflavinum interferes with absorption and reduces efficiency of antibiotics. therefore it should be taken at least for 3 h before reception of an antibiotic.

Overdose

At reception in the recommended doses intoxication is improbable
