Otis Elevator Company — one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of the lifting equipment (escalators, elevators and moving paths). The company is founded in 1853 in New York by Elisha Otis who for the first time developed the principle of the safe elevator with the special mechanism blocking a cabin at break of the bearing rope.
