Omeprazolum capsules are appointed at the following indications:

At adults:

• treatment and prevention of a recurrence of an ulcer of a duodenum and the benign stomach ulcer including connected with intake of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicaments (NPVS);
• an eradikation of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) at a peptic ulcer in combination with the corresponding antibiotics
• treatment of GERD, including a reflux esophagitis;
• treatment of a syndrome of Zollingera-Ellison.

Children since 1 and weighing ≥10 kg:

• treatment reflux esophagitis;
• symptomatic treatment of heartburn and acid regurgitation at GERD.

Children since 4 years in a combination with antibiotics treatment of an ulcer of the duodenum caused by H. pylori.

Structure

Active ingredient: omeprazole.

omeprazolum of a granule (pellet) in terms of omeprazolum - 20 mg.

Excipients: granules (pellet) contain: attracts (E421) sucrose; sodium dodetsilsulfat; sodium phosphate, dodecahydrate; calcium carbonate (E170) of a gipromelloz; cetyl alcohol; titan dioxide (E171) of sodium methylparaben (E219) of sodium propylparaben (E217).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to active ingredient, the substituted benzimidazoles or to any of medicine excipients.

Route of administration

Is recommended to accept the Omeprazolum capsules in the morning, swallowing of whole and washing down with a half of a glass of water. Capsules should be chewed or crushed.

Capsule can be opened and to directly take a sip of contents, washing down with a half of a glass of water, or to stir in subacidic liquid, for example in any fruit juice, apple puree or in unsalted water. Such mix needs to be drunk right after preparation or within 30 minutes. Before reception mix it is necessary to shake up also inquiries by a half of a glass of water.

As option, capsules can be rassosat, and then to swallow contents and a half a glass of water. Gastrorezistentny granules should not be chewed.

Feature of application

Overdose

Data on effects of overdose of omeprazolum at the person are very limited to

. In scientific literature are described a dosage up to 560 mg of omeprazolum, there are also single messages about achievement of a single oral dose of 2400 mg of omeprazolum (120 times higher than the usual recommended clinical dose). It was reported about nausea, vomiting, dizziness, an abdominal pain, diarrhea and a headache. Also in rare instances reported about apathy, a depression and confusion of consciousness.

But all specified symptoms had passing character, did not report about serious consequences. Clearance rate of medicine did not change (kinetics of the first order) with increase in a dose. In case of need it is necessary to carry out symptomatic treatment.

Side effects

Most frequent side effects (in 1-10% of patients) are a headache, an abdominal pain, a lock, diarrhea, an abdominal distension, nausea / vomiting.

Interaction

Absorption of a pozakonazol, erlotinib, ketokonazol and itrakonazol considerably decreases and, therefore, clinical performance can decrease. It is necessary to avoid simultaneous application with pozakonazoly and erlotiniby.
