Feature of application
Pregnant
System concentration of diclofenac is lower at topical administration in comparison with diclofenac at oral administration. Suppression of synthesis of prostaglandins can have negative effect on pregnancy and/or embriofetalny fetation. Data of epidemiological researches indicate the increased risk of a miscarriage of pregnancy, heart diseases and gastroshizis after use of inhibitors of synthesis of prostaglandins in the early stages of pregnancy. It is considered that this risk increases at increase in a dose of medicines and duration of therapy.
Diclofenac of sodium should not be applied in the I and II trimesters of pregnancy if in it there is no emergency.
If diclofenac of sodium to applyto the woman who tries to become pregnant or is on the I or II trimesters of pregnancy the dose has to be minimum, and treatment duration - as it is possible well.
Diclofenac of sodium is contraindicated toon the III trimester of pregnancy because all inhibitors of synthesis of prostaglandins can:
- to put the fruit at such risks: cardiopulmonary toxicity (with premature closing of an arterial channel and development of pulmonary hypertensia), renal dysfunction which progresses to a renal failure with an oligoamnios;
- to subject mother and the child to such risks: perhaps long bleeding - the effect connected with inhibition of aggregation of platelets which can be shown even against the background of reception of very low doses of medicine; inhibition of reductions of muscles of a uterus that leads to a delay or prolongation of childbirth.
same as other NPVP, diclofenac gets into breast milk in a small amount. However at use of diclofenac in therapeutic doses of impact on the child who is on breastfeeding it is not expected. The decision on use of medicine is made by the doctor in the presence of strong reasons for its application during feeding by a breast when the expected advantage of treatment exceeds potential risk. Drug should not be applied on mammary glands or big sites of skin and it is not necessary to apply for a long time.
Children "Olfen ® Hydrogel" is not recommended toby
for application for children aged up to 14 years. At use of medicine to children of 14 years longer than 7 days or if symptoms of a disease amplify, it is necessary to see behind consultation a doctor.
Drivers
Drug does not influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms.
OverdoseDue to the low absorption of diclofenac in a system blood-groove the overdose cases at topical administration are improbable
.
in case of any symptomatic side effects owing to the wrong application or possible overdose should apply the general therapeutic methods to treatment of intoxication nonsteroid anti-inflammatory substances.
in case of accidental ingestion should consider a possibility of development of system side reactions. In such cases it is necessary to empty a stomach at once and to accept adsorbent. Symptomatic treatment using the therapeutic measures taken for treatment of poisoning with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicaments is shown.
