Z11PA-D8 Motherboard is created by
for a processor family of Intel Xeon Scalable and allows to achieve increase in their performance at the level of separate kernels. This payment supports four channels of memory that is provided by growth of throughput of memory by 50% and increase in performance of all system by 1.65 times in comparison with the previous generation of processors. The Intel Xeon Scalable platform also provides 4.2 times more virtual machines (VM) in comparison with the systems of the previous generation.
RAID from two SATA SSD can be used for the purpose of increase in performance or additional data protection
Array from SSD drives in the RAID 0 configuration provides growth of writing rate and speed of data reading by 40% and 84% respectively in comparison with one drive SSD of format M.2. If to connect pair of devices M.2 in the RAID 1 configuration, it is possible to create the mirror disk array for backup of data. The Z11PA-D8 board supports the solution Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) on the basis of the solid-state drives NVMe SSD and Intel Volume Management Device technology. For activation of VROC configurations optional keys are offered. This solution is used for creation of the RAIDs consisting of the solid-state drives NVMe with direct connection to the processor which allows to reduce delays to increase throughput and to reduce energy consumption of a subsystem by 15 W in comparison with traditional hardware RAID solutions.
Two OCuLink connectors serve for connection of NVMe-drives
Z11PA-D8 Board is equipped with two OCuLink connectors for direct connection of compatible NVMe-devices without need to use PCIe expansion card.
Connection up to 16 SATA devices of 6 Gbps
On the Z11PA-D8 board is available four connectors of mini-SAS of HD which support up to 16 SATA ports with a throughput of 6 Gbps for connection of external devices and optimum wiring of cables.
End-to-end solution for management of IT infrastructure
Z11PA-D8 Board is equipped with the built-in module of remote administration of iKVM and also includes the software of ASUS Control Center intended for monitoring and centralized management of IT infrastructure of the small and medium companies in a delivery set. ASUS Control Center (ACC) is a platform for centralized management of the various equipment of ASUS for business, including servers, workstations and promotional and informational screens. ACC allows to perform remote update of BIOS, monitoring of a set of systems by means of mobile devices, update and software installation and other tasks. Built-in ASMB9-iKVM module is a solution for remote control which provides the interface, independent of the operating system and the platform, for monitoring of a number of parameters. The module offers a number of functions of remote administration, including remote installation of the BIOS updates, record of video, maintaining the event log. Even if the server operating system will be faulty or switched off, this module will give an opportunity of remote work with the server by means of a convenient web-based graphical user interface (all main web browsers are supported).
microSD Card slot is located
On the Z11PA-D8 board the slot for installation of the microSD card on which it is possible to save video, log files and also images of ISO for recovery of OS via the ASMB9-iKVM web interface. This the additional storage allows users to browse the files on other devices and to save backup copies of data.
Fast indication of a status at initialization
Z11PA-D8 Board is supplied with a status indicating system in the course of its initialization allowing users to understand system status in read seconds. In particular, it displays information on the version of a firmware of the module of remote administration, the serial number of the device, the error message of a subsystem of memory and any results of diagnostics requiring attention.
