"Devil With A Blue Dress On" - the song is written by Shorti Long and William "Mickey" Stephenson, for the first time executed by Long and released on a single in 1964. Singl did not get to a chart.
Two years later Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels recorded the song in the form of the potpourri with "Good Golly, Miss Molly", original arrangement of Littl Richard. Their version was much faster, than at Long in which noticeable influence of blues is traced. Having reached 4 places in Hot 100, their version became their most known hit in the USA. Plastinks
