Structure

Active ingredient - desmopressin (one tablet contains desmopressin acetate of 0.1 mg that corresponds to desmopressin of a basis of 0.089 mg).

Excipients: lactose, monohydrate; potato starch; povidone; magnesium stearate.

Contraindication

• a usual or psychogenic polydipsia (production of urine exceeds 40 ml/kg / 24 hour);
• heart failure or other states demanding prescribing of diuretic drugs;

• hyponatremia;

Route of administration

Dosage of tablets of desmopressin should be adapted individually. Desmopressin always should be accepted in the same period concerning meal as food reduces its absorption.

If after 4 weeks of treatment and dose adjustment does not observe adequate clinical effect, it is not recommended to continue administration of drug.

in case of development of symptoms of a delay of liquid and/or a hyponatremia (a headache, hypostasis, nausea/vomiting, increase in body weight and in a hard case - spasms) treatment should be stopped immediately to an absolute recovery of the patient. Side effects
