Powder for solution for injections Meronem is shown for treatment of infections at adults and children aged from 3 months:

  • pneumonia, including community-acquired and hospital pneumonia,
  • bronchopulmonary infections in a mucoviscidosis;
  • complicated infections of urinary tract
  • complicated intraabdominal infections;
  • infections during childbirth and postnatal infections;
  • complicated infections of skin and soft tissues;
  • acute bacterial meningitis.

Structure

Active ingredient: meropenem;

1 bottle contains

: a meropenema trihydrate of 570 mg (500 mg of a meropenem anhydrous are equivalent) or a meropenema trihydrate of 1140 mg (1000 mg of a meropenem anhydrous are equivalent);

Excipients: sodium carbonate anhydrous.

Contraindication

  • Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or excipient of drug.
  • Hypersensitivity to any other antibacterial agent of group of karbapenem.
  • Heavy hypersensitivity (for example, anaphylactic reactions, heavy skin reactions) to any other type a β-lactamnoma to antibacterial agent (for example penicillin or cephalosporins).

by dissolution of medicament in 0.9% chloride sodium solution for injections or in 5% solution of glucose (dextrose) for injections before obtaining concentration of 1-20 mg/ml.

Chemical and physical stability of the prepared solution for infusions with use of 0.9% of solution of sodium of chloride remained within 6 hours at the room temperature (15-25 °C) or within 24 hours at a temperature of 2-8 °C.
