Paraffin - an oil refining product which is mix of high-molecular solid saturated hydrocarbons.

Parafin has the high thermal capacity and low heat conductivity that allows to apply in the form of appliques from rehabilitation, cosmetic and the preventive purpose, to thermal impact on an organism. As a result of appliques which are followed by heating of fabrics the local blood circulation amplifies. Biologically active agents which are capable to render anti-inflammatory, resorptional, soothing action are a part of paraffin.

Route of administration

• Stratification (the melted t 55-600 C paraffin is applied to skin a brush).
• Salfetno-applikatsionny (put at 8-10 layers gauze/bandage is immersed in the melted t 55-600 C paraffin, wrung out and imposed to the place of influence, covered with an oilcloth, and then a blanket).
• Cuvette and application (the melted paraffin is filled in in ditches, then the stiffened t 45-500 C paraffin is taken out from a ditch on an oilcloth and together with it impose on sites, the subject influences).

Procedures are carried out daily or every other day, by duration of the procedure from 15 to 30 min., the Course of 10-20 procedures. After the procedure it is necessary to have a rest 30 - 40 minutes.

Contraindication

with paraffin, are contraindicated at the general contraindications to the heatprocedure, pregnancy, sensitivity to means components.

Before use of means consult the expert and if necessary put leather drop test on presence of individual sensitivity to means and ability to transfer temperature increase.
