Linozid is an antibacterial medicine for system use.

Treatment of the infections caused by sensitive strains of certain microorganisms at such states:

• nozokomialny pneumonia;
• not hospital pneumonia;
• complicated infections of skin and its structures, in particular infections against the background of diabetic foot without the accompanying osteomyelitis, the caused Staphylococcus aureus (metitsillinchuvstvitelny and metitsillinrezistentny isolates), Streptococcus pyogenes or Streptococcus agalactiae; linezolid it was not studied in treatment of ulcer decubituses;
• uncomplicated infections of skin and its structures caused by Staphylococcus aureus (only metitsillinchuvstvitelny isolates) or Streptococcus pyogenes;
• infections, resistant to Vancomycinum, caused by Enterococcus faecium strains including the infections which are followed by bacteremia.

Structure

• 1 ml of solution supports a linezolid of 2 mg;
• other components: glucose, monohydrate; sodium citrate; anhydrous citric acid; sodium hydroxide; Acidum hydrochloricum is diluted; water for injections.

Contraindication

Simultaneous use with the medicines suppressing monoamine oxidase A and B (for example, fenelzin, an isocarboxazid, selegilin, moklobemid) or within two weeks after their reception.

Route of administration

Recommendation about a dosage according to indications is given below.

Nozokomialnaya pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia (including the forms which are followed by bacteremia), the complicated infections of skin and its structures:

• patients of infantile age (from the birth up to 11 years) - 10 mg/kg intravenously or orally each 8 hours;
• adults and children (is more senior than 12 years) – 600 mg intravenously or inside each 12 hours;
• recommended treatment duration – 10-14 days in a row.

Infection, the caused Enterococcus faecium, rezistentna to Vancomycinum, in particular an infection which are followed by bacteremia:

• patients of children's age (from the birth up to 11 years) – 10 mg/kg intravenously or orally each 8 hours;
• adults and children (is more senior than 12 years) – 600 mg intravenously or inside each 12 hours;
• recommended treatment duration – 14-28 days in a row.

Feature of use

It was reported about development of lactoacidosis at use of a linezolid. Patients who at use of medicine have symptoms and manifestations of a metabolic acidosis, including recurrent nausea or vomiting, an abdominal pain, low level of bicarbonates or a hyperventilation have to ask for medical care immediately. In case of development of lactic acidosis it is necessary to consider advantage of further treatment linezolidy and potential risks.

Pregnant

Medicine should not be applied during pregnancy, except cases when the expected advantage exceeds potential risk.

Children

Medicine can be used from the first days of life.

At use of a linezolid the development of dizziness or symptoms of a disorder of vision is possible

. At development of such reactions it is necessary to refrain from control of motor transport or other mechanisms.

Infection and invasion: candidiasis, oral candidiasis, vaginal candidiasis, fungal infections, a vaginitis, an antibiotic, the associated colitis.

from blood and lymphatic system: anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia, pancytopenia, myelosuppression, sideroblastny anemia.

from the immune system: anaphylaxis.
