Living Things is the fifth studio album of the American rock group Linkin Park. It was written down in 2011 — 2012 in Severny Hollywood, at NRG Studios (English) russk. in cooperation with the producer Rick Rubin it is also released in the USA on June 26, 2012 on a label of Warner Bros. Records. Trying to get off the status of a nu metal band and to get rid of the former, habitual sounding, in a new album Linkin Park added such genres as folk and electronic music to the sounding. Thematically the album differs from the predecessor, A Thousand Suns, he narrates about problems of personal character and is based on own experience of musicians.
in the first week after the beginning of sales an album won first place in Billboard 200 and headed charts of some other countries, such as Great Britain, Germany, Canada. In support of an album Linkin Park released 4 singles (main and the most successful among which "Burn It Down" became), organized two concert tours: the world Living Things Tour and American Honda Civic Tour (together with Incubus).
