Levotsin-N, solution for infusions, is appointed the adult for treatment of such infectious diseases caused by microorganisms, sensitive to a levofloksatsin, as:

• not hospital pneumonia;
• complicated infections of leather and soft tissues (only if use of other antibacterial agents which usually appoint for treatment of these infections is recognized inefficient or inexpedient);
• sharp pyelonephritis and the complicated infections of urinary tract;
• chronic bacterial prostatitis.

Structure

Active ingredient: levofloxacin;

100 ml of solution support a levofloksatsin of 500 mg;

Excipients: sodium chloride, Acidum hydrochloricum diluted or sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to a levofloksatsin or to other hinolona, or to any of medicine excipients;
• epilepsy;
• complaint to side reactions from sinews after the previous application of hinolon;
• children's age (up to 18 years);
• period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Route of administration

Levotsin-N, solution for infusions, it is necessary to enter slowly by intravenous infusion 1-2 times a day. Dosing depends on type and weight of an infection and sensitivity of a probable contagium. It is possible to pass from initial intravenous application of a levofloksatsin to the corresponding oral administration according to the instruction for medical use of medicine in the form of tablets, proceeding from a condition of the patient. Taking into account biological equivalence of oral and parenteral forms perhaps identical dosing.

Use of medicine is contraindicated to children (age up to 18 years) as injury of an articulate cartilage is not excluded.

with machines and mechanisms, it is necessary to consider possible undesirable reactions from nervous system (dizziness, drowsiness, confusion of consciousness, a disorder of vision and hearing, violation of processes of the movement, including also during walking).

Overdose

Most important expected symptoms of overdose touch the central nervous system (dizziness, violation of consciousness and convulsive attacks); reactions from a GIT, such as nausea and erosion of mucous membranes. At application of the doses exceeding therapeutic there is a lengthening of a QT interval. In case of overdose it is necessary to make careful observation of the patient, including the ECG.

Interaction

In researches of clinical pharmacology was shown that on pharmacokinetics of a levofloksatsin was not caused any clinically significant influence at application of a levofloksatsin together with the following medicines: calcium carbonate, digoxin, glibenclamide, ranitidine.
