Lens EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM provides accurate images in any conditions, especially during shooting from hands at weak lighting or in the macroshooting mode. The lens is equipped with technology of 4-staged stabilization of the image of Canon and automatically determines shooting type (normal or panning), switching in the mode of stabilization of the image, optimum for the current conditions of shooting.

Ultrasonic focusing
Ultrasonic drive of ring type allows to achieve fast and almost silent autofocusing. Thanks to excellent characteristics of a lens the exact focusing is reached. Constantly available manual correction of focusing does possible fine tuning of focus, without coming out the autofocusing mode.

Smooth blur of a background
Circular 9-lobe aperture increases softness and uniformity of the areas of the image which are out of focus that allows to select accurately foreground objects on a beautiful indistinct background.

Excellent image quality
Lens EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM contains three aspherical elements which provide sharpness and clearness on all image box and range of focal distances. Two ultralow-dispersive optical elements (UD) almost completely eliminate chromatic aberrations. The covering of Super Spectra helps to provide exact color balance and high contrast. At the same time flares and doubling of images — the widespread problems resulting from reflection of light from the camera sensor are also eliminated. The protective fluorite cover interferes with sticking of dust and a thaw of water on front and back lenses, helping to achieve optimum image quality.

Minimum distance of focusing of 0.28 m
