Solution for Levopro's infusions is appointed the adult for treatment of the infections caused by microorganisms, sensitive to a levofloksatsin: pneumonia, the complicated infections of urinary tract (including pyelonephritises), infections of leather and soft tissues, chronic bacterial prostatitis.

Structure

Active ingredient: levofloxacin;

100 ml of solution it is equivalent a levofloksatsina of 500 mg

Excipients: waterless glucose, sodium edetat, the hydrochloric acid divorced sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to a levofloksatsin or to other hinolona, epilepsy, side reactions from sinews after preliminary application of hinolon. Children's age (up to 18 years). Period of pregnancy or feeding by a breast.

Route of administration

to administer the Drug slowly 1 or 2 times a day. The dosage depends on type and weight of an infection and also sensitivity to medicament of the possible activator. Drug treatment after initial use of its intravenous form can be finished by application of an oral form on condition of the acceptability of such treatment for the specific patient. Considering bioequivalence of parenteral and oral dosage forms, it is possible to use their identical dose.

Duration of infusion has to be not less than 30 minutes for 250 mg or 60 minutes for 500 mg of solution.

Use of medicine is contraindicated to children (age up to 18 years) as injury of an articulate cartilage is not excluded.

Drivers

with machines and mechanisms, it is necessary to consider possible undesirable reactions from nervous system (dizziness, drowsiness, confusion of consciousness, a disorder of vision and hearing, violation of processes of the movement, including also during walking).

Overdose

Most important expected symptoms of overdose touch the central nervous system (dizziness, violation of consciousness and convulsive attacks); reactions from a GIT, such as nausea and erosion of mucous membranes. At application of the doses exceeding therapeutic there is a lengthening of a QT interval. In case of overdose it is necessary to make careful observation of the patient, including the ECG.

Side effects

• Infection and invasion. Infrequently: fungal infections, including the infection caused by sort Candida fungi. Resistance of pathogenic microorganisms.
• from mentality. Often: insomnia. Infrequently: uneasiness, confusion of consciousness, nervousness.
• from nervous system. Often: headache, dizziness.
• from the vascular system. Often: phlebitis (only for intravenous forms of introduction).
• from a liver and bile-excreting channels. Often: increase in activity of liver enzymes (ALT/nuclear heating plant, alkaline phosphatase, GGT).
• General violations and reactions in the injection site. Often: reaction in the place of infusion (pain, reddening).

Interaction

In researches of clinical pharmacology was shown that on pharmacokinetics of a levofloksatsin was not caused any clinically significant influence at application of a levofloksatsin together with the following medicines: calcium carbonate, digoxin, glibenclamide, ranitidine.
