Description

SABITORU 240 grit eraser for finishing (finishing) processing with a red inscription on the eraser is intended for removing darkening, stains and rust from metal.

When darkening, rust spots and other signs of corrosion appear on the blade of a knife, it is always unpleasant. This is especially true for blades made of carbon steel. Despite all the advantages over stainless steel (easy cutting, simplicity and ease of sharpening, long-term retention of sharpness and at the same time relative cheapness), carbon rusts and therefore requires certain maintenance regulations. Stainless steel is also a relative concept. There are no steels that are absolutely resistant to corrosion. Under certain conditions of external influences, stainless steel can also become tarnished, become covered with pockets of pitting corrosion, etc. This phenomenon can be combated in different ways - from treatment with various chemical compounds, ending with abrasive treatment, up to complete regrinding. However, this is inconvenient, costly, and, as a rule, requires the use of various additional special equipment.

To quickly remove traces of minor corrosion on the blade, a special eraser is very convenient for removing darkening, stains and rust from the metal. If such an eraser at hand does not require any special mechanical devices or chemical solutions, as well as skills in their use, there is no need to completely grind the blade, or have running water or chemical reagents nearby. You can return the knife to its original appearance in a matter of minutes by rubbing the surface of the blade, first with a coarse eraser, and then removing scratches from the surface of the metal with a fine-grained one. Country of origin: Japan. Manufacturer Chukyo Kenma. Grit size 240 grit. Delivery type blister. Purpose: Finishing. Eraser dimensions 65 x 40 x 9 mm.
