Description

Shrimp are sold raw or boiled-frozen in packages, while raw shrimp are dark green or gray in color, and processed shrimp are pink. Frozen boiled shrimp, which are sold in packs, do not require long-term heat treatment; they can simply be thawed or scalded with boiling water before use.

Tiger shrimp differ from their other counterparts in their rapid growth, large size and high protein content. The bulk is caught in the Sea of Japan and some species in the Mediterranean. Currently, more than two thirds oftiger shrimpare artificially farmed in shrimp farms located in China and Thailand, as well as in some Latin American countries.

Tiger shrimp are the largest of all shrimp; This is the most delicate delicacy with juicy meat. Tiger shrimpcome in several varieties: regular, black and green. Common tiger shrimp, found in the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean, live at a depth of 40-60 meters. The bulk of ordinary tiger shrimp is grown on Vietnamese farms, and farmed shrimp are always larger and meatier than their “wild” counterparts.

Black tiger shrimp are also bred on farms, some individuals of which grow up to 1 kilogram. All varieties of tiger shrimp are famous for their unusually juicy, soft and tender meat, which is rich in nutrients.

On store shelves you can find chilled, fresh-frozen, boiled-frozen and canned shrimp. Freshly frozen seafood is considered the most valuable, since quick freezing preserves all the most useful things that nature provides. High-quality shrimp meat (cooked or raw) should be firm and slightly moist, and the smell should be reminiscent of the sea and seaweed. Let's admit a faint odor of iodine.

In the seafood market, tiger prawns are valued for their dietary qualities, as they are rich in protein and proteins, and contain virtually no fat. These shrimp are rich in tocopherol - vitamin E, which has antioxidant properties and protects our body from the damaging effects of free radicals.

Vitamin E strengthens the immune system, fights disorders of the cardiovascular system, and significantly reduces the possibility of heart attacks. Tiger shrimp are also useful because they contain a large amount of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, which is so necessary for our body. Omega-3 has an anti-inflammatory effect, slows down the formation of atherosclerotic plaques in our body, inhibits blood thickening, and normalizes blood pressure. Polyunsaturated fatty acids also have antioxidant properties, that is, they are able to prevent the development of cancer.

The meat of tiger shrimp also includes a number of minerals: iodine, potassium, calcium, sulfur and zinc, without which the healthy functioning of the human body is impossible. These microelements have a beneficial effect on the growth and development of cells, regulate the functioning of the circulatory system, maintain the hormonal balance of the body, and have a positive effect on the condition of nails, skin and hair.
