Indications

Treatment of exocrine insufficiency of the pancreas at adults and children caused by various diseases and states including provided below, but not limited to this list:

• mucoviscidosis;
• chronic pancreatitis;
• pancreatectomy;
• gastrectomy;
• operation with an applying gastrointestinal anastomosis (for example, gastroenterostomy according to Billroth of II);
• Shvakhmana-Diamond's syndrome;
• a state after the attack of acute pancreatitis and restoration of enteral or oral food.

Structure

• active ingredient: Pancreatinum; KPEOH 25000: 1 capsule contains 300 mg of Pancreatinum in gastrorezistentny granules (minimicrospheres ™) which have enzymatic activity: lipases of 25000 units of EF, amylase of 18000 units of EF, protease of 1000 units of EF;
• other components: macrogoal 4000, gipromeloza phthalate, cetyl alcohol, triethyl citrate, dimetikon 1000, solid capsule: gelatin, ferrous oxide (E 172), titan dioxide (E 171), sodium lauryl sulfate.

Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or any other component of drug.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast

Because there are no influences of enzymes of a pancreas on a pregnancy course given clinical trials, medicament it is necessary to appoint with care to pregnant women. Dosage of medicament is based on individual needs of the patient and depends on severity of a disease and structure of food.

Capsule and minimicrospherical granules should be swallowed entirely, without breaking and without chewing and to wash down with enough liquid in time or after a meal, including light meal. If the patient cannot swallow the capsule whole (for example, children and patients of advanced age), it can be opened and added carefully minimicrospherical granules to soft food with acidic environment (rn <5.5), not demanding chewing, or liquids with acidic environment (rn <5.5). It can be apple puree or yogurt or fruit juice with rn <5.5, for example apple, orange or pineapple juice. Such mix should not be stored.
