Released on Stax label at the end of summer of 1968, it became a breakthrough single of Taylor, having reached the first place in a chart of the singles Billboard Hot R&B and the fifth place in Billboard Hot 100. On became one of the few singles thanks to which Taylor became known in a mainstream. The house group Stax, Booker T. & the M.G.s, and Isaac Hace (keyboard) participated in the song.
