Small fishes and plants daily have to receive necessary the volume of nutrients and oxygen without which in an aquarium there will be no life. The fate of fishes and plants also in many respects depends on the chemical composition of aquarian water. In the presence of deviations even in one of parameters over time fishes can have diseases, seaweed will expand, and water will dim or will be painted in green color. Special tests from the JBL company allow to watch concrete parameters of water.

JBL (GBL) of GH Test Set rapid test for check of the general rigidity of fresh water. This parameter depends on the volume of potash salts in soil. Generally, small fishes and plants perfectly feel in an aquarium if the level of the general hardness of water is in range of 8 - 20 ° d. The rigidity - the better is lower.

What to do if in an aquarium too high general hardness of water:

Method of application
1. Several times to rinse a measured vessel the water which is subject to testing.
2. To fill a measured vessel with the tested water to a mark of 5 ml (attention, the lower line of water level has to coincide with marking).
3. To add a reactant on drops, considering at the same time drops and shaking a vessel after each drop until color changes from red on green.
4. One drop of the used solution of a reactant corresponds to one German degree of the general hardness of water. For more exact indication to Fill a measured vessel with the tested water to a mark of 10 ml. One drop of the used solution of a reactant corresponds 0.5 German of degree of the general hardness of water.
Note: in case of use of 10 ml of water from test color is shown at the first drops less intensively. In that case place a measured vessel on a white background for the best readability.
