This is the 4th volume in this series (5th if you count the DVD of Benefit Concert 8) and is strong, as usual. A little more of a jam-band vibe in this one, mostly thanks to the two extended songs by moe., and the presence of Bob Weir and Friends. If you like the others in this series, you will like this one too. After getting a release about once a year for about 2-3 years, we have not seen one since this in 2011. Any explanations as to why they stopped? Volume 4 is every bit as good as the other 3 releases in this series. Disc 1 absolutely smokes. I particularly like that it features lesser known acts like Sons Of Ralph and Jerry Joseph. Robert Randolph then comes out for some high-energy jamming and shredding, and then moe. finishes the disk with a dose of their trademark jams. Disc 2 contains even more heavy hitters, featuring a few tracks from John Hiatt, jammin little set by Bob Weir, and of course some killer down and dirty rock, Govt Mule style.
This whole series is extremely worthwhile.
