Mosaic Group — is created in December, 1969 by students of Moscow State University. Vyacheslav Malezhik (guitar, a vocal), Jaroslav Kessler (bass), Valery Habazin (leading guitar), Yury Chepyzhev (keyboard) and Alexander Zhestyryov (percussions) were the first part.
as a part of group on keyboard was played by Hovhaness Melik-Pashayev – in 1970th and 1980th the director of the rock groups "Time Machine", "Sunday" and "Black Coffee".
Veteran of the Russian rock scene "Mosaic" always teetered on the brink of professional music and an underground. This dualism generated several changes of structures, some went to an official platform, some — to philharmonic hall and who and in general abroad.
Rubicon is the 5th and best album for all musical history of the Mosaic group, the first album of group released on vinyl.
