Doctor Watson Show group — the talented Soviet and Russian vocal collective acting in genres: retro, priest, bit. Generally "Doctor Watson" executes the potpourri on popular songs of last years and also original songs by various authors. At first there was a Surprise group. The name as well as possible approached Eto genre orientation of show group, new and unusual for a platform of that time, when the song is given not only a musical, but also plastic shape. And the chosen retro style was absolutely uncharacteristic for those times and it was then the real surprise — the mens quartet in bright suits created a furor. There was 1985. The plan of creation of the vocal show quartet with staging elements in retro style belongs to Georgy Mamikonov and Victor Kamashev working at that time in VIA "Loyal friends". Timur Mironov, Victor Groshev (VIA "Age-mates") joined the project. Za shoulders of all participants of group before arrival to this collective was wide creative experience, work in the famous collectives. In June, 1986 in telecasts "Morning Mail" and "Around Laughter" Doctor Watson", the group which became the first hit took place the prime minister of a song composer Alexander Slizunov ". In 1986 the vocal quartet "Surprise" was admitted to the Moscow regional philharmonic hall. Tour tours of group on the country with popular performers, such as Gennady Hazanov, Sofia Rotaru, to Ania Veski began. In March, 1988 the first potpourri — "Beauty queen" is written down. From this point flashing potpourris from smash hits, components "gold fund" of the Soviet song platform of 1940 — became the 1970th years the business card of ensemble. In the Polish city of Bialystok in 1989 the group went to a festival under the name of "Doctor Watson". The new name served as a starting point for the real creative victories, great popularity and huge spectator love. At the beginning show group "Doctor Watson" recorded in Melodiya an unusual album from 2 vinyl records. On one there were 9 latest potpourris, and on the second — 16 popular Soviet songs from cinema in Slizunov and Myasnikovs arrangements. The leaf with texts of all presented songs was enclosed in each envelope. The first karaoke in our country was Eto. Ne it is accidental many years later one of the Moscow karaokes clubs called "Doctor Watson". Zhanr of the potpourri took new shape thanks to original arrangements — peculiar "know-how" of group. The movie concert "Horosho!" was devoted to an exit of a double album. The movie included potpourris "Well", the Ogoniok, "Beauty queen", "Lada" and "August". In 1994 in RDM the first CD "Horosho was published!" In September the new soloist — the winner of the International Sopot-92 festival Igor Braslavsky came to group.
