Hydrocortisone cream – a corticosteroid for application in dermatology.

State at which there is a response to treatment by topical corticosteroids (eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis). Topical corticosteroids in general are not shown for treatment of psoriasis, but can be acceptable, except for widespread blyashechny psoriasis, on condition of observance of cautions.

Structure

• 1 g of medicine a hydrocortisone of butyrate of 1 mg;
• other components: cetostearyl alcohol, polyethyleneglycol cetostearyl air, oil mineral, paraffin white soft, methylparaben (E 218), propylparaben (E 216), citric acid, sodium citrate, water purified.

Contraindication

except for treatment cases in combination with the appropriate chemotherapeutic means:

• injury of skin (wound), caused by bacterial infections (for example, a pyoderma, syphilitic or tubercular defeats), viral infections (for example, chicken pox, the herpes simplex surrounding herpes, a wart usual, a wart flat) the infections caused by fungi and yeast; parasitic infections (for example, mange);
• skin cankers;
• side reactions caused by corticosteroids (for example, perioral dermatitis, extensions);

Dosage

General course dose should not exceed 30-60 g of cream a week.

Feature of application

Corticosteroids for external use can be dangerous to patients with psoriasis because of a number of the reasons, including a ricochet syndrome owing to development of tolerance, risk of developing of generalized pustulous psoriasis or the local and system toxic phenomena owing to damage of barrier function of skin. Steroids can be applied at psoriasis of head skin or at chronic blyashechny psoriasis of hands and feet. It is important to watch patients carefully.

Drivers

Are absent data on influence of Hydrokortizonny Cream medicine on ability to steer motor transport or to work with other mechanisms, emergence of influence is not supposed.

At excessive application under an occlusive bandage the emergence of suppression of adrenal glands is possible

. Special medical procedures or antidotes do not exist. At emergence of any side effects the treatment should be stopped and carried out symptomatic treatment.

Side effects

from skin and hypodermic cellulose: dermatitis, eczema, extensions, contact dermatitis, contact allergy, pustular acne, skin atrophy, often irreversible, followed by thinning of epidermis, teleangiektazaimiya, purple and extensions.
