Hawthorn tincture

Ingredients:

Active ingredient: 1 bottle contains tinctures of fruits of a hawthorn (crataegi fructus) (1:10) ((extractant — ethanol of 70% (about/about)) 25 ml or 100 ml.

Dosage form.

Tincture for oral administration.

Main physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid from yellow till brown color with an orange-reddish shade. At storage the formation of a deposit is allowed.

Biologically active agents which are contained in hawthorn fruits strengthen blood circulation in coronary vessels and vessels of a brain, increase sensitivity of a myocardium to cardiac glycosides and reduce his excitability that leads to some strengthening of reductions of a cardiac muscle.

Clinical characteristics.

Indication.

Functional disorders of activity of a cardiovascular system (including neurocirculatory dystonia) and also as auxiliary medicine at easy forms of disturbances of a warm rhythm (atrial fibrillation, a Bouveret's disease).

Contraindication.

Hypersensitivity to medicament components. profound arterial hypotension and bradycardia.

Tinctura Crataegi has to exponentiate effect of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhytmic means. use with alkaloid salts is not recommended in connection with a possibility of formation of negative complexes. it is not necessary to use medicament together from tsizapridy. can strengthen effect of hypnotic drugs, sedative, antihypertensives.

inside to food. the adult about 20 drops of tincture 3 times a day, to children of 12 years are recommended to accept — at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life 3 times a day before achievement of stable therapeutic effect.
