Pharmacological properties

Grass of an erva woolly contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, slime, organic acids, tannins, coumarins, saponins. this complex of biologically active agents renders diuretic, solevyvodyashchy, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic action. medicaments from a grass of an erva woolly promote dissolution and removal of stones from kidneys, fast removal of inflammatory processes in urinary tract, reduce urea content in blood serum, increase removal of ions of sodium and to a lesser extent — potassium.

Indication

Initial stages of an urolithiasis; the postoperative period after removal of uric concrements; inflammatory diseases of kidneys and urinary tract (pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis); diseases which are followed by disturbance of salt metabolism (gout, spondylosis, polyarthritis).

Use

5 g (2 tablespoons) of a grass is placed in the enameled ware, fill in 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, closed a cover and insisted on the boiling water bath of 15 min. cool at the room temperature of 45 min., filtered, the rest is wrung out to the filtered infusion. the volume of infusion is brought boiled water to 200 ml. adults accept in a warm look on 1/4 — 1/2 glasses 2–3 times a day in 15–20 min. prior to food. children at the age of 12–14 years on 1 tablespoon, are more senior than 14 years on the 2nd tablespoons 2–3 times a day in 15–20 min. prior to food. the course of treatment — 10–30 days, is recommended to conduct 2–3 courses a year. before the use to shake up infusion.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to drug; existence of the concrements exceeding diameter of an ureter; children's age up to 12 years.

In isolated cases the nausea, allergic reactions (hyperaemia, rash, an itching and hypostases) is possible

Period of pregnancy and feeding by a breast. women during pregnancy and feeding by a breast should use medicament taking into account a ratio advantage/risk.
