Group is created in 1999 and consists from Alison Goldfrapp (vocal/synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer). Alison Goldfrapp in the 1990th acted in the Orbital group and about trip hop as the musician of Tricky. In the same 1999 of Goldfrapp subscribes to a label of Mute Records and begins recording of the album. Despite good reviews and nominating of the British musical award Mercury Prize, debut ambient album of 2000 of Felt Mountain did not make commercial success. The second album of the Goldfrapp Black Cherry group in which elektrokleshevy sounding was added was released in 2003. The album was warmly accepted in clubs and the third released album Supernature remained congenial to the predecessor.Supernature held the first places in charts and was nominated for the Grammy for the best electronic/dancing album, and the Ooh La La song is nominated as the best dancing record. Their fourth studio album written to more ambient and downtempo to a manner, Seventh Tree was released in 2008.
