History
Gerry Marsden created group in 1959 with the brother Fred, the Wood Chadwick and Arthur McMahon. They competed with the Beatles, playing in the same places of Hamburg (Germany) and Liverpool. McMahon (known as Arthur Mack) was replaced with a piano by Le Maguire approximately in 1961. Originally the group was called "Gerry Marsden and chocolate bars Mars", but were forced to change the name when Mars Company, producers of chocolate bar Mars, exposed a complaint on copyright.
