Pharmacological properties

Gerbion syrup of a plantain contains extract of mix of leaves of a plantain lanceolate, flowers of a hollyhock of usual and ascorbic acid.

It is supposed p that gluten of leaves of a plantain lanceolate and flowers of a hollyhock usual and iridoidny glycosides (aukubin) of leaves of a plantain lanceolate play an important role in operation of medicine. As Gerbion syrup of a plantain contains gluten of extracts, he acts as the mucous agent at the dry irritating cough which accompanies inflammation of an upper part of airways. Adhesive forms a thin protective layer on a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and a throat and mechanically protects mucous membranes from the irritants causing a tussive reflex. Thus it weakens the cough caused by irritation of a mucous membrane of airways during the inflammatory processes which arose because of various surrounding irritating factors.

Ascorbic acid participates in many metabolic processes in an organism, it stimulates the immune response of an organism and promotes cell regeneration.

Use

At children at the age of 2 years-7 of years — on 1 measured spoon of medicine gerbion plantain syrup 3 times a day; 7–14 years — on 1–2 measured spoons of syrup 3 times a day; at adults and children 14 years are aged more senior — on 2 measured spoons of syrup of 3-5 times a day.

to Patients should not eat food and to drink at once after administration of medicament as food and drinks can accelerate elimination of medicine from a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and a throat.

If symptoms do not disappear after 1 week of application, it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Before application a bottle should be shaken up well.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to active agents or any inactive ingredient which is a part of medicine, gastritis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach.

Special instructions

Drug contains sucrose therefore it cannot be applied at patients with diabetes. at emergence of a short wind, fever or a purulent phlegm it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Special information on some auxiliary substances. Drug contains sucrose. Therefore patients with rare hereditary diseases of fructose intolerance, a syndrome of violation of absorption of glucose galactose or deficiency of invertase-isomaltase should not take this drug.

Metilparagidroksibenzoat (E218) can cause allergic reactions (perhaps, with delay).

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Syrup should not be applied during pregnancy and feeding by a breast in connection with insufficiency of data on its safety.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. There were no messages about influence of medicine on ability to steer vehicles or to work with other mechanisms.

Children. Syrup is not recommended to be applied at children under 2 years without preliminary consultation with the doctor.
